JW Industrial Solutions manufactures custom welded hydraulic cylinders for OEM machinery and demanding industrial applications. Each project begins with the customer design drawings, followed by a design proposal and quotation, customer approval of the detailed drawings, manufacturing, inspection, testing and delivery.
Welded hydraulic cylinders are specified around the machine’s mounting interfaces, port locations and installation envelope, not just a nominal bore and stroke. JW reviews the welded-cylinder arrangement against the customer design drawings, including rod and end connections and the manufacturing requirements. The construction type alone does not establish load capacity or suitability for mill-duty service.
Welded Hydraulic Cylinders for Industrial OEM Programs
Steel mill, press, mining and marine cylinder projects are reviewed from the customer design drawings. Operating information such as cycle frequency, heat exposure and environmental conditions is helpful if available.
Your drawings provide the basis for the review of long-stroke or large-bore designs, including dimensions, mounting, support, loads and pressure. Quotations include products and accessories (including hydraulic-cylinder seals), all certificate costs and transportation to the quoted destination. Piston rod options include nickel-plated, chrome-plated, and HVOF-coated configurations. Seal selections can include Hallite, Parker, Merkel, Trelleborg, NOK, and DZ according to the application specification.
Replacing an Existing Welded Cylinder
For obsolete equipment, repeated leakage or a second-source project, send your design drawings for a drawing-based replacement hydraulic cylinder review. Operating history is helpful if available. Drawings are required for quotation and manufacture.
Quality Documentation
Material certificates, inspection reports, and test records can be supplied according to project requirements. Customer-specified third-party inspection can also be incorporated when agreed during quotation.
