Custom Telescopic Hydraulic Cylinders
JW Industrial Solutions designs and manufactures custom telescopic hydraulic cylinders for equipment that requires a long working stroke within a compact retracted envelope. The project review focuses on the required extension, available installation space, loads, mounting, operating sequence, and service conditions for the industrial OEM application.
Telescopic describes the use of multiple extending stages. Single-acting or double-acting describes whether hydraulic pressure drives movement in one direction or both. JW reviews the return method and operating sequence against your design drawings as part of the equipment-specific feasibility review.

Long-Stroke Requirements and Retracted Space
The design drawings define the working stroke and retracted length, together with mounting, installation space and stage arrangement. JW reviews these drawing requirements without asking you to repeat them in a separate enquiry checklist. Operating sequence and usage information are helpful if available.
Your drawings provide the basis for reviewing a telescopic arrangement or a conventional long-stroke design. Explore the design considerations in our long-stroke hydraulic cylinder project guidance. The final configuration and acceptance requirements are agreed before production.
Quotations include products and accessories (including hydraulic-cylinder seals), all certificate costs and transportation to the quoted destination. Standard custom-product payment: 30% advance, 70% before shipment. Quotes are available in your requested currency and format. See our quotation and payment terms.
Send Your Design Drawings
Enquiries are welcome in any format. Please email your design drawings to info@jwindustrialsolutions.com; drawings are required for quotation and manufacture. You do not need to repeat information already shown on the drawings. Operating conditions, including the working environment and frequency of use, are helpful if available. A dedicated specialist will follow up by email.

Design-to-Delivery Support
JW reviews your design drawings and provides a proposed solution and quotation. After order confirmation, detailed drawings are submitted for your approval; production starts only after that approval. Manufacturing can include CNC machining, precision honing, welding, assembly, inspection and hydrostatic pressure testing. You are welcome to inspect product quality at the factory during production and before shipment.

Materials, Components and Quality
Available component capabilities include precision cylinder barrels with bores up to 2,000 mm and piston rods with nickel-plated, chrome-plated, or HVOF-coated surfaces. Material and heat-record traceability, dimensional verification, weld inspection, surface-finish measurement, and project documentation can be included according to the approved specification.

Frequently Asked Questions
When is a telescopic cylinder appropriate?
A telescopic design is commonly considered when the required working stroke is much longer than the available retracted installation space.
Can JW review an existing telescopic cylinder drawing?
Yes. Customer drawings and specifications can be reviewed for manufacturability, with approval drawings and prototype validation available when required.
Are completed cylinders tested before shipment?
Yes. Completed assemblies undergo hydrostatic pressure testing before shipment, with supporting records available according to the order.
